Mid-term Meeting and the Asia-Pacific International Forum on Dual
Transformation and New International Cooperation in the Digital Economy
will be held in Tainan City, Taiwan, from 23 to 27 June 2026.
Please find attached the tentative program for the 44th AFACT Mid-term
Meeting for your perusal.
We cordially invite AFACT members to
participate in this important annual event either in person or remotely.

V. Eligibility for Airfare Subsidy
(Limited to the Following Participants)
In appreciation of the valuable
contributions made by member economies to UN/CEFACT activities, as well as
their longstanding support for AFACT, the AFACT Permanent Secretariat is
pleased to provide airfare subsidy support to eligible participants.
The subsidy covers round-trip
economy-class airfare from the participant’s home country. Kindly note that
participants are requested to purchase their own airline tickets in advance
and retain all relevant receipts and supporting documents. Upon arrival
in Taiwan, the AFACT Permanent Secretariat will reimburse eligible airfare
expenses in cash (USD).
This airfare subsidy support is limited to
the following participants:
VI. Subsidies Applicable to All
International Participants
Local transportation support will be
provided by the AFACT Permanent Secretariat to all international participants,
including meet-and-greet service upon arrival at Taoyuan International
Airport (TPE), transfers to the Taoyuan High Speed Rail (HSR) Station,
coverage of Taiwan HSR ticket fares, and local transfers between Tainan
HSR Station and the conference-designated Formosa Yacht Hotel.
All international participants are
requested to arrange their own flights to Taiwan.
Arrival Airport: Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), Taiwan
Arrival Date: 22 June
Meet-and-greet service will be provided only
upon arrival at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) on 22 June.
Please note that no transportation or meet-and-greet service will be
provided for other arrival dates or at other airports.
Details of the meet-and-greet service will be provided to participants at least seven (7) days prior to 22 June.
Departure Date: 27 or 28 June
Two Return Options on Saturday, 27 June
Option 1: Individual Early Departure to Taipei or Taoyuan on 27 June
Option 2: Group Return Following the Day 2 Schedule on 27 or 28 June
Estimated arrival at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE): around 6:00 p.m. on 27 June Participants who are able to catch an evening flight may depart on the same day. Those who are unable to catch a same-day flight will be arranged to stay overnight at an airport transit hotel in Taoyuan. City Suites will be prioritized, subject to availability. Alternative accommodation may be arranged if needed.
Accommodation
Single-room hotel accommodation for five nights will be provided for all participating expert delegates. Hotel accommodation will be arranged at the conference-designated venue, Formosa Yacht Hotel in Tainan, as well as in Taitung (hotel arrangements currently in progress); both will be provided by the AFACT Permanent Secretariat. Room allocation for each delegation will be subject to availability. The supported stay period will be five nights of accommodation for your participation in the meeting and forum from 22 to 27 June 2026 in Tainan and Taitung, Taiwan.
Meals
Daily hotel breakfasts, lunches arranged
during the conference, and scheduled dinners throughout the meeting period will
be provided by the AFACT Permanent Secretariat.
