The eASIA Awards, organized by the Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (AFACT), is a prestigious regional awards program that recognizes outstanding initiatives and projects contributing to trade facilitation, digital innovation, and sustainable development across the Asia-Pacific region. The Awards were initiated by Chinese Taipei in 2002, with the first competition launched in 2003. Since then, more than 147 projects have participated, and 78 outstanding projects have been recognized and showcased through AFACT events and exhibitions.

The eASIA Awards encourage the sharing of best practices among AFACT member economies and promote innovative approaches that enhance economic development, public services, digital transformation, and regional cooperation. The program provides a valuable platform for governments, businesses, and organizations to present successful initiatives and demonstrate their impact to the wider Asia-Pacific community.
In response to emerging developments in artificial intelligence, digital trade, sustainability, and circular economy development, AFACT has revised the award categories for 2026 to reflect the evolving priorities of member economies. The updated categories aim to recognize projects that demonstrate practical innovation, measurable impact, and significant contributions to sustainable and inclusive growth.
The 2026 eASIA Awards feature the following two categories:
This category recognizes projects that promote smart and sustainable governance through the effective use of technology, data, and innovative management approaches. Eligible projects may involve digital government, smart public services, open data initiatives, sustainable operations, circular economy practices, smart cities, cybersecurity, carbon reduction, resource efficiency, or collaborative governance models.
This category focuses on projects that leverage artificial intelligence to improve international trade and cross-border business operations. Projects may include AI-enabled customs procedures, intelligent trade documentation, supply-chain visibility, automation, risk management, machine learning applications, data analytics, or digital solutions that enhance trade efficiency, transparency, compliance, and interoperability.
AFACT invites all member economies to nominate outstanding projects for the 2026 eASIA Awards. Each AFACT Head of Delegation (HoD) may nominate up to two projects for each award category. Participating projects should have been initiated, implemented, or significantly enhanced during the period from 2024 to 2026 and must demonstrate concrete achievements and measurable impacts.
